KUCHING, Feb 1- The number of flood evacuees in Sarawak is now at 12,914 people comprising 3,777 families.
The Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) Secretariat said as of 12 noon today, a total of 62 temporary evacuation centres (PPS) were still active throughout the state.
A new PPS was opened at SMK Tatau, involving 38 evacuees from eight families.
The number of districts affected by the floods remains at 17, involving six divisions in Sarawak.
